How we developed our strategy
Our sustainability strategy is informed by engagement with our key stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, suppliers and local communities. By understanding what matters most to them, we can focus our actions where they can have the greatest impact.
We also assess the value of our sustainability actions by considering how they support growth opportunities, improve productivity and reduce risk.

Our strategy focuses on 12 key action areas where we can create positive change and long-term value.
As infrastructure owners and operators face changing climate conditions and evolving energy needs, we are taking action in four key ways:
We are upgrading infrastructure to improve efficiency, reduce emissions and optimize energy use, including the use of renewable energy sources.
We hold PAS 2080 carbon management certification across our Transportation and Consulting services, along with ISO 50001 energy management certification for our Facilities Management services.
Our aim is to protect biodiversity and support responsible environmental stewardship across the places where we work. For example, we incorporate nature-based solutions and water management approaches that help reduce flooding and improve infrastructure resilience.

Extreme weather and changing environmental conditions can significantly affect infrastructure performance. We use digital solutions to better understand potential climate-related risks and support more informed decisions about how infrastructure is designed, managed and maintained.
We are also developing solutions that help improve the resilience of critical infrastructure.
We are working to reduce emissions across our operations and supply chain through a long-term roadmap. Our actions include improving how we track emissions, transitioning to electric vehicles and equipment where appropriate, and working with suppliers to reduce emissions across our supply chain.
